Discovery Pico is the most powerful picosecond laser for the treatment of skin rejuvenation, blemishes and scars.

It is a 1064/532 nm dual wavelength system with peak power up to 1.8 GW capable of treating pigments by means of a powerful photoacoustic effect and the minimum heating of the surrounding areas, for greater efficacy and treatment safety. The DISCOVERY PICO PLUS version is also equipped with a high pulse energy 694 nm ruby ​​Q-Switch source for the treatment of benign pigmented lesions, both epidermal and dermal.

The DISCOVERY PICO PLUS laser also emits energy in FRACTIONAL LASER mode (picoseconds), with the advantage of stimulating collagen production and regenerating tissues.

The laser is an instrument of great power but of absolute precision. It is able to intervene on precisely defined portions of the epidermis without altering the surrounding tissue in any way.

PicoBoost technology The emission of very high energies and powers (1.8 GW) through ultra-short pulses at picoseconds (450 ps for Nd: YAG 1064 nm and 370 ps per532 nm) increases the effectiveness of the treatments, offering greater comfort for the patient.

Photoacoustic effect – Discovery PICO pulses generate a pure photoacoustic effect aimed at inks and skin spots, leaving the surrounding skin intact. Unlike traditional Q-Switch lasers that fragment the pigments into granules, the picosecond laser reduces them to a very fine particulate that is more easily eliminated from the body even through the phagocytosis process.

The exclusive Laser Palomar ICON, in use at Laser Medical Center in Milan, exploits the technology of fractional non-ablative laser.

This method consists in the emission, through a sophisticated system of lenses, of very short-lasting laser micro-beams, which act in depth. The laser micro-fibers repair the stretch mark, without damaging the skin on the surface, and stimulate the production of collagen which regenerates the tissue and reduces blemish.

Laser Palomar Icon has also been approved by the FDA, the American Health Authority, as a suitable method for removing stretch marks.
